Ruby McGavin has just lost her husband to a car accident, now she must go to his ancestral home to claim what he has left her, a 1/4th share of his family’s ranch. The kicker: Ruby thought that her husband Cole’s family was deceased. Why did he lie to her? What else will she discover about his past?

I kind of thought this book was a little boring, the author switched between characters each chapter, but she did little to give each character a distinct voice. Not as good as her Benni Harper mystery series, but a tragic tale worth reading.
