WORTH CONSUMING!

Sometimes your tired brain just needs a break…

Night at the Museum was actually a bit better than I expected: who hasn’t felt a bit spooked in a museum, with all those dead/fake people/animals surrounding you in stillness – at least when your back is turned?!

My only complaint would be the bittiness – there are a lot of famous faces in here, but they don’t really come together well. There are a lot of different museum exhibits, but they aren’t all used that well, apart from set pieces (hardehar).

Still. It was kinda cute, and Ben Stiller managed not to annoy me (quite the achievement!), playing a fairly regular bloke for a change.

WORTH CONSUMING!

We had an opprtunity to see this in IMAX when it first came out, but decided to wait and see it on DVD. A good choice, I think. I’m not a big Ben Stiller fan. Robin Williams had a rather “serious” minor role as Teddy Roosevelt, and bit parts by Mickey Rooney and Dick Van Dyke were fun. Overall, it was okay, but nothing ground-breaking. See it with a 9-yearold and you may get some laughs.

While it was amusing in parts it definitely could have been better
