Not in E.T.'s league — 4 years ago

A superlative sci-fi story turned into a 90-minute E.T. wannabe, with so-so results. The generally competent acting is overshadowed by subplots that are melodramatic or outright ridiculous.

The special effects were great, but everyone in the future was saved because a girl cried on a bunny? i don’t really understand or agree with the major premise of the movie i guess.
