Worth the read — 2 years ago
My mom gave me this book a few years ago, and busy times with school prevented me from reading it sooner. I’m not usually one to read self help/relationship help type books, so I have little to compare this book to, but felt that it raised some very good points and questions. It also confirmed for me that through her philosophies there are a LOT of things that my husband and I are doing right, which felt good.
We’ve had some interesting talks about some of the questions and points she raised. I’m glad I read the book, but will probably now pass it on to some friends who are getting married and haven’t had the same sort of long, conversation-based pre-engagement relationship that my husband and I built upon (which this author advocates).
