I read this my 7th grade year in middle school. I was the only person crying, I was so caught up in her story that I had to bring tissues to class for 3 whole weeks. I felt her sorrow and her joy. A great book, but i do wish i was a little older when i read it I wasn’t prepared for the nightmares. It’s when I put a stop to reading Holocaust books, well until Number the Stars and the Book Thief, both great books.
