WORTH CONSUMING!

This book is bizarre, and quirky, and not really a novel by any typical description. But it’s funny, and poignant, and emotionally touching. It’s got an entertaining premise, featuring, of all things, adverbs. If you read it in public, people assume it’s a textbook. It’s really not. The characters are unforgettable, even if they’re never developed. You’ll learn a lot about love. Or you won’t. I suppose that’s the point.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I found out quite by accident, after having been seduced by the tone and content of the jacket blurbs, that the author is also Lemony Snickets—which is kinda cool and kinda sad because I was quite happy keeping Lemony’s identity all a mysterious secret.

“Adverbs” was really good. I loved his style, I loved the sadness in the stories. I did lose track almost completely of who was who though, but I bet it’s hard for everyone who didn’t draw a diagram (like I was tempted to).

Enjoy!
