I am enjoying this book quite a bit (two-thirds of the way through) but I am disoriented by it a bit as well. In its tone and plot, it could easily have been written 60 years ago. Bizarrely nostalgiac. Who knew we lived in a world where snobby, uptight British women (with CLASS PREJUDICES!) and their skeezy suitors could still be the villains?
