WORTH CONSUMING!
Fantasy fiction really is obsessed with trilogies, which becomes a bit daft when you’re really talking about one six-book series! The end of the third volume definitely leaves questions and dangling plot threads.
Before that, it’s probably the darkest of the initial trilogy. I like that some of the characters are becoming more morally ambiguous, but there’s still a lot of emphasis on marriage and inheritance, and living with power as a moral issue.
