borrowed this from kevin. i do not like dane cook. i repeat i DO NOT like dane cook. i’ve tried. i’ve tried on more than one occasion, from stand-up to films. nope. not for me. i was hesitant about watching this. it contained cook, and jessica simpson; by no means the two finest actors in the world. what made this movie tolerable for me was andy dick. for some reason i find him funny. he’s like a guilty pleasure. in the special features, which i like to watch first, there was a section called at work with lorn. absolutely great! i highly suggest watching the alternate opening scene.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

The premise of this film provided an infinite amount of material to work with, and yet it did nothing with it. As most people have at one time or another, I have worked in the retail industry. Although the job itself is meaningless, the co-workers and customers can provide endless entertainment. Sadly enough, I laughed more in two hours of working retail than I did watching this movie.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Even Dane Cook couldn’t save this one. I think supermarkets are humorous in nature and a good source for a comedy, but I’ve seen better films on the subject made by college students. Be prepared for incredibly stupid humor (and even that, when done well, is better than this) and an award-winning (ha) performance by Jessica Simpson.
