Okay, so from the slow-ish meander of book 1, the story really starts picking up! And after more than a few adventures, in the last couple of chapters you find out what happened leading up to the mystery of the opening, which is very satisfying!

My one complaint – flowery language and overuse of odd words and lists aside – is the familiarity of some of the recycled myths CD-T uses. Populating your world with Celtic wights is fair enough, picking up an entire fable and shoving it in just felt a bit of a cheat.
