2.5 hours of my life I will never get back — 12 weeks ago
I only wish it was actually as interesting, thoughtful or even as visually spectacular as it thinks it is.

but it was closer to the way the world really is unfortunately . at least the way ended wasn’t all happy and cheerful because let face’s it not everything turns out just right anymore. there are some happy ending but i don’t batman should be 1 of them. this and iron man are among my new favorite comic book movies.
it doesn’t even remind me of the 60’s series. i liked it better than most superhero movies. i’m looking forward to the next one.it’s a shame heath ledger/ he wa sa great actor who finally hit his peak.
some of it was a little disturbing but i think people had a good idea what they were going to get going into it.

I know I’m one of the few people in the world who didn’t like the movie, but I found it way too dark and depressing.
Don’t Think Ledger should get the Oscar?
Don’t Think Ledger really went insane during/ prior to filming?
Don’t Think Ledger was the Best Joker….EVER!?
Watch the scene when he walks out of the hospital in his Nurses uniform and fiddles with an ignition device for a C4 bomb and will will believe the following:
1. He’s gonna get the Oscar
2. He’s not playing with a full deck on or off screen
3. He’s the BEST…. JOKER…. EVER!
Heath alone is why this movie is worth consuming!

I think perhaps this was a little over-hyped for me. I mean, Heath Ledger’s Joker was indeed fantastic, but I kept thinking, “Oscar? Hmm. Maybe, maybe not.” instead of just enjoying it!
Not that I’d call this a thoroughly enjoyable movie. A very good one, but very tense (note the unsubtle use of pitch-increasing tones!) and very very dark.
It didn’t really sweep me up the way I would have wanted, somehow; I was aware that this was a long film. And yet, I didn’t begrudge it a second: it’s a very interest-capturing movie, too – I needed to know what was going to happen next. Sort of a contradiction there, I know.
Really appreciated the reality of it all: this is no comic book, this is almost plausible. Again, though, that adds to the slightly bleak and grim tone of it all. Dark, indeed.
Definitely worth seeing, and again, and almost certainly the DVD. But the complexity of the stories and the characters – the things that make this a good movie – are also things that stop it being something you can unthinkingly sit through, methinks.

But finally one with good acting! Ledger’s performance left me quite saddened. He died at his peak. I want to see what else he might have been able to do after this!
All the characters seemed very well developed, and though there were a lot of things going on they still managed to put it in a senseical order.
I hope Hollywood keeps up this new tradition of comic book movies with good acting. Iron Man and The Dark Knight are my shining becons of hope.

Once again, Batman faces The Joker while he delves into himself; the police veer between stamping Batman a criminal and a hero, adding to Batman’s list of raging conflicts. A very strong 8/10 makes this the best Batman-film I’ve seen this far; direction is very good, as Batman is transformed – much like James Bond in that franchise – from super-being to human being, going from Bruce Wayne to hero with friction to follow. Of course, Christian Bale is stale as Batman acting out an untouchable vigilante archetype; the real antihero in this film is The Joker; Heath Ledger betters Jack Nicholson’s previous performance as The Joker indefinitely by presenting a meticulously researched, damaged individual who attracts and revolts, psychopathically killing and lying to suit his insane genius at will.
While this film presents twists and turns that excite and surprise the plot is on par, being better than most action films, not to mention that of those based on comics. Even though the film loses tempo at times, it didn’t lose its grip on me. All in all, this is one of the best action films I’ve seen in the past years. Bravo!

The movie’s length might actually be a deterrent for some people. But I would like to say that the time and money spent watching this movie is definiely worth it.
This is actually the first time that I viewed Joker as something more than a comic book character. No doubt because of Heath Ledger’s performance.
I’d definitely buy a DVD of this movie, so I can watch it anytime I want to.

It’s true what the critics have been saying about this; it’s absolutely amazing and is probably, if not definitely, Heath Ledger’s best work. I say this not simply out of sympathy, like some people seem to speculate, but he truly did capture the deranged and insane manner of the Joker perfectly. Somehow, you still managed to love the character, despite him being a homicidal maniac. Definitely worth seeing – again and again and again.

...is TOTALLY AWESOME. It feels good to be able to embrace my inner geek again. The movie isn’t perfect but I won’t spoil it for anyone by pointing out the only two flaws in it. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, get out and see it. It’s money well spent. I haven’t been this excited for a movie release in a really long time. And I’ll most likely go to see it on the big screen again.

This movie was, in a word, perfect. If anyone has any complaints about it, I’d love to hear what they are.
Even if you’re not a fan of comic books, this is absolutely worth seeing. And if you are a fan, particularly of Batman, you will NOT be disappointed.
