Because it’s free!
The bulk of the magazine is (naturally) about food, containing both Asda products and a reasonable selection of recipes. I do like the recipes – they tend to be reasonably simple, and I’ve followed several successfully. Also a good source of ideas for food in general.
The home section is also worth a flick, and it’s interesting to see ‘interior design’ ideas based on the cheapest of budgets! The clothes section I find usually uninteresting and always useless, as the chance of seeing something you like and finding it in the store are slim given stock turnaround tends to be far shorter than the magazine’s monthly shelflife!
The brief entertainment section is generally only going to sum up the bestsellers list, and I don’t find Asda have the best prices.
Finally, there’s usually half a dozen money-off vouchers to use in store. I had thought they’d stopped doing these, but the recent issue has a few – not for items I want to buy, of course, but worth a look.
And did I mention that it’s free?
