WORTH CONSUMING!

one of my favorite movies of all time.

When I was a little girl, I would watch this movie over & over again.

“We are sisters, you & I…” – sometimes my sister & I say that to each other. :)

WORTH CONSUMING!

I remember very vaguely from my childhood the first moments of this movie, taped on a VHS from the Christmas movies at a local TV station. So, when I saw the special edition had gone out, I thought it’d be a good idea to buy it, especially because I thought it was very cheap for a 2-disc DVD… as it turns out, it was cheap because it was single-disc ;)

It took me quite a long time to watch it because my usual co-watchers were totally uninterested by this movie! So it took me some willpower to pop in the DVD, on a day I had nothing better to do.

It’s a good movie, I guess. The animation is not the best, especially if you compare it with Disney, but it’s okay. The unicorn character is great, in her many shapes. Some scenes were really annoying (the damn butterfly from the beginning nearly made me stop the movie) and it’s a bit slow-paced. Also, the ending is very bittersweet, which I guess gives depth to the movie. The music is great and I liked the speaking voices too.

The bonus features are okay, even if it’s single-disc! The game was alright, and the small featurettes were interesting (though the audio-only ones were too much for me). All in all, it’s not a DVD I really recommend, but I guess it’s okay for fans or nostalgics!
