After I read Robert Fuller’s book Somebodies & Nobodies, I felt compelled to write him and tell him how much I appreciated the way he had worked through the problem of rankism. We’ve had an ongoing conversation about it, and as a result I got a preview of his upcoming book All Rise. This booke carries on the exploration of rankism, and it adds an attempt to “operationalize” a dignitarian society by modeling ways to resist and fight rankism. This is an important book for anyone who is cringing at the widespread abuses of power that currently pervade our society.
