The choreography is spectacular, especially the early dance scenes done with high-speed, slow motion camerawork – perhaps the main reason to see this. Story hangs by a thread, as we witness thugs rough each other up in Prohibition-era Georgia. I’m not an Outkast fan, so I’d never buy the soundtrack, but it was better than expected – jazzy.

It looked very pretty. The dancing was fun, but everything else about the movie was just meh. Passable, but not great. Acting wasn’t anything to write home about about the plot kind of dragged. Overall I think it was a good idea with poor execution.

One of most disappointing movies ever. Very pretty, good music (although most of the “soundtrack” is not in the movie, and a cute idea but really falls flat. Subpar acting that even clever effects can’t hide.

Easily the best movie of 2006. Imaginitive and unique, this movie set during the Prohibition in Idlewild, GA includes gangsters, songs and tons of fantasy. The music is addictive. The story is at times funny, angering, sad and horrifying. I hope it collects quite a few Oscars this year; it deserves them!
