Dagnamit, another one I wanted to say was ‘Wishy Washy’, but I was forced to choose!

Torchwood was the spin-off from Doctor Who (it’s an anagram, y’see, and also a secret organisation that appeared in the main series). It’s also a chance for the program makers to go a bit more ‘grown up’ – introducing sex and swearing. (aside: this apparently caused a lot of problems for parents of junior Dr Who fans who wanted to watch the new show!)

It’s another one of those programs that I watched, kept watching, but wouldn’t really care if it didn’t come back. It was mildly diverting. It was also a bit disappointment. Lead character, Captain Jack Harkness, was transformed into something far darker and quite frankly boringly full of his own melancholy. The other characters did little to (positively) register with me – and can anyone explain how the heck Owen managed to attract so many women!? He was the least attractive thing in the show!

There were too many hints, not enough plot for me here. But, ack. I still watched the silly thing! Bring back decent sci-fi so I don’t feel the need to watch this kind of trash, please!!
