NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I kept watching hoping it would either a) get better or b) make the turn from bad to so bad it’s good. It did neither.

The dialog was awful. The love scenes were terrible, even by Hollywood standards. I didn’t find the action interesting, nor did I find the bad guys particularly bad.

Michael Mann, Colin Farrell and Jaimie Foxx have all been involved in movies I’ve enjoyed, so I don’t know what went wrong here. They also hauled in a good Spanish actor—Luis Tosar—who just didn’t deliver. I fear this will harm his future chances in Hollywood movies, which is a shame.

All in all, this movie was so bad that it is forgettable.

The movie was good; the action was something, but the ending let me down; it just ended with Crockett going to the hospital; no nothing just the end; that left me kind of cold there; Now, I have to follow an action movie from start to finish, and this one, I followed pretty well, but like Montoya’s woman; how could she NOT know who Crockett REALLY was? How could HE just sample the man’s goodies? Foxx showed a tender side as well as a good performance. but it left me cold.

While I respect Michael Mann as a visionary filmmaker, Miami Vice was a letdown. Visually, it’s stunning. But the movie lacks in a plausible story line. And the love scenes featured in this movie should have been left on the cutting room floor — it totally slowed the movie down.

I was bored to sleep while watching this film. If you are a fan of Michael Mann’s work, I would suggest copping Heat, Ali or Collateral.

Miami Vice should have sizzled with a lot more action and less drama, but instead it fizzles.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Watched this today. I found it boring as can be. I wouldn’t recommend this movie to anyone. If you are going to watch it, remember that CSI Miami is much more engaging
