Okay so today after three e-mails to their support and updating everything I possibly could all it took was a graphic driver from Nvidia and not Dell, and it worked! It’s too confusing who to get the drivers from – the manufacterer of the video card, the company that sold you the machine tailored to their specs or from Microsoft.
I’m glad to be back to my sims2.

I haven’t even been able to get this game to work. After I installed – you guessed it – windows vista home premium, pets stopped working but I figured this new expansion would fix that problem.
When I put it in it says directx9 can’t be found cause I have the newest 10 version that I can’t install over manually at all. That’s how microsoft built that to work. Then when I run in compatibility mode all of a sudden it can’t read my cd in either of my cd-rom drives!
I’m totally stuck on what to do. I’ve update drivers, cleared temp folders, reinstalled…
Not happy with either company right now.
