NOT WORTH CONSUMING

you know, women uniting rather than turning against one another to protect a man like on Springer… but ended up re-inscribing all the old values: glorifying and forgiving male infidelity and hyper-sexuality, dragging out tired old female stereotypes and making pms jokes, and ultimately undoing the message of feminine strength and unity by having the women turn on one another and compete for the man (who is surprisingly heroic and even Christlike in the climactic scene)... as bell hooks might say, “just another shitty movie”

WORTH CONSUMING!

...but still amusing enough I suppose.

I go to high school, I see enough of this shit at my school so I wasn’t exactly thrilled about seeing it with a Hollywood flair (but my mother wanted to watch it.)

I didn’t relate to any of the charactes, I don’t like guys like John Tucker (in a romantic sense,) and in general, I get enough ridiculous teenage melodrama at my school. I don’t need to see it here.

All the girls are vengeful and give Tucker far more credit than he deserves. Yes, the asshole cheated on you, stop dwelling! Do us all a favor and move on with your life!

Only a few of the witty things they said won me over…while other things made me roll my eyes. Perhaps I’m bitter for someone my age but…some of this was just stupid…kinda like high school! =D

WORTH CONSUMING!

I have no clue why vegan girl was the butt of ‘slut’ jokes. John Tucker had been screwing the whole school, where are the jokes at his expense? Overall an amusing romp, except for some sexism and some bad afterschool specialitis at the end.
