Non-stereotypical, fresh air — 1 year ago
WORTH CONSUMING!
A young man is diagnosed with terminal cancer and goes about life, maybe not as most viewers would like him to; I feel like Ozon, the director, doesn’t judge much in this films, but rather rebels against what people think one should do, when faced with a death penalty like this. Behind the main character’s facade is, I think, a lot of fear, which I think is faced when you peek behind the thin veil up front. It’s a strong film, a fresh air that manages to steer clear of stereotypes that I feel often plague films that has final destination-touch to them.
