it makes me want to go to italy, and it’s wonderfully written…BUT…
it’s so slow…and i need a gripping story at the moment. eh. must return it to the library soon. doubt i’ll ever finish it :(

Has some interesting things to say about Italy and Tuscany in particular, but wanders too much for my taste. I especially wish the author had spent more time talking about the present, and much less time reminiscing about San Francisco and her Southern childhood.
I liked this well enough, although it took me longer to plow through than expected.
I haven’t started yet, but just glancing at the pages makes me wish for a bigger grocery budget!
