Excellent, well balanced movie — 1 year ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I was really impressed with this movie. the subject is tricky. Munich deals with the kidnapping and murder on Israeli athletes at the Olympics of 1972 by Palastinian terrorists. In retiliation Israel sets up a task force to take out a number of men who are said to be responsible for the assassination.

It’s easy with that type of set up to get lost in either the violence or the choose a side in the Israel / Palestine conflict. Mr Spielberg thankfully avoids doing either. Munich is a well balanced movie, showing both sides of the conflict. It shows the politics and how people change in all that violent chaos. Good acting, good script, very captivating movie.

WORTH CONSUMING!

This movie felt a lot like a documentary and yet was very personal and story oriented. I liked that it took and honest look at the inner workings of the back and forth terrorist strikes between israel and the plo. I didn’t feel particularly evangelized for either side, just seemed like a glimpse into the emotions and actions taken.
