I kinda feel cheated. I get told that this is like an entirely new movie and yet with the exception of the Effel Tower scene and the film ending just like the 1st Superman movie ended, I couldn’t tell you what other scenes were new. I take that back ,the one scene where Clark Kent’s hairstyle goes from the blow dry look to the wet look, not only was that a nit, it was evidence of an altered scene.
Also, I didn’t know that Superman II and Empire Strikes Back had the exact same soundtracks minus the opening theme songs. I know that John Williams scored both films at about the same time, but was he so out of inspiration that he thought, “Hey, I’ll throw in the music from when the snowspeeders rescue Han and Luke into when Superman is flying over the artic- noone will know the difference!” For god sakes, both scenes involve snow and flying.

I enjoyed seeing the film again. It brought back tons of memories. I just hope that when Donner does the Goonies director’s cut, he doesn’t decide to use John Williams’ JAWS soundtrack when Mouth and Data fight the octopus.
