NOT WORTH CONSUMING

If you don’t see this coming, you must have never watched a movie before. Virtually every scene of this movie is cliche, enough to make me squirm and moan, “Oh, noooo, movie!” One of the worst films I’ve seen, maybe ever.

Which is a bummer, since I really wanted to like it!

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I’m pretty slow when it comes to predicting a twist or how a movie will end, but even I saw the twist on this one. Clive Owen does a good job with his part, but I don’t think Jennifer Aniston should be alowed to do any more movies.

WORTH CONSUMING!

An unexpectedly refreshing crime thriller with solid performances and an ellusive ending. Although suprised to see him, Cassel makes for quite a good vilain (he wasn’t as good in the rather entertaining Birthday Girl, as compared his native French performances such as l’Appartement). Also nice to see Aniston breaking out into other genres. There are some holes in the plot—good grifters would never repeat their methods so precisely, but this is a minor mar.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

The title, Derailed, says it all. Do not get on this train. In particular, Vincent Cassel is wasted here. I’ve seen him in Sur mes lèvres, Le Pacte des loups, and Les Rivières pourpres, all better movies than this.

This film’s tagline is: ‘They never saw it coming.’ Very apt. I must admit, I definitely never saw it coming! I don’t want to spoil it for you so I’m not gonna say any more.. but this is one movie worth watching.
