The Daisy Dukes were discovered and molded in August 2001 by none other than the legendary Cecile Marie Alexandra Dumas. She had a vision of combining country western with electro pop and set out to create an astonishingly talented, three member bombshell group. “The important part was to stress wholesomeness and purity in a world full of sinners”. She did just that with the Daisy Dukes.

Originally produced by Cecile Marie Alexandra Dumas (Irrelevant Records), the Daisy Dukes went platinum with their first album “Lasso Loser” with the smash hit “Ride ‘em Cowboy” in 2003 followed by a blockbuster summer tour featuring the new music style that adoring fans christened “country disco”.

After their summer tour of ‘03, the country techno pop sensations appeared live via satellite on the American Music Awards—but there were some technical issues that caused controversy in the media. It appeared that the group was lip-synching, but no conclusion was ever made as to the real story. This media harassment caused a sudden drop off the charts, followed by an extended sabbatical of the band while Cecile Marie Alexandra Dumas defended herself from jealous legal attacks from other less-talented bands who were envious of the Daisy Dukes’ incredible originality.

Rumor has it that Cecile Marie Alexandra Dumas, after finally triumphing in a landmark court decision, has teamed up with renowned Las Vegas master music producer Murray “The Doctor” Diamond and a reunion might be scheduled for this year but you’ll have to wait and see!
