Annoyingly funny. Matt Dillon somehow holds it together, despite lack of chemistry with Kate Hudson and being overrun by Owen Wilson’s antics. Not sure how they talked Michael Douglas into his small part as the Dad-in-law, but he acts it well. Don’t rent this…borrow it from the library or wait till it is on late night TV.

I didnt really find this movie to be all that funny overall, and it seemed to me it just ended up being another Kate Hudson Chick flick “guy loves girl, guy almost loses girl, guy does stupid stuff to get girl back” movie. . . it didnt require any thought, it didnt strike any chords and overall the humor was a bit too canned and expected for me.

if you want something to just want something to waste time and have playing in the background while you do dishes, this will do the trick.
