A story about this — 2 years ago
This book is extremely disturbing to say the least. I enjoyed the symbolism, which was thicker in the beginning, but still interspersed itself off and on throughout the story. I may be using this book in a reading program I’d be leading at the high school my kids attend. I’m interested to see how they’ll interpret this; what they find of significance, that is. I was supposed to read this in high school myself, but never did. I think I skimmed a chapter at the beginning, filled out the worksheets with vague, but decently written answers and ended up with a very undeserved B overall.
