101 Words: Uneven But Worthwhile — 6 years ago
I really enjoyed An Evening With Kevin Smith; the sequel, although entertaining, was slightly disappointing. Disc One, Toronto, was definitely the weaker of the two: Smith’s stories, while entertaining, were limited by occasionally lame questions, and an unwelcome interruption by a guy bringing Kevin a box of Tim Hortons’. Disc Two, London, was much better: given better questions, Smith was more engaging, and Jason Mewes helped out with the mirthmaking. Smith’s Q&As are fairly blue, and although I might not always agree with all his points, he’s still extremely watchable. I’d encourage Smith fans to give this one a shot, too.
