Michael Jan Friedman’s latest entry into the Stargazer saga, detailing the events of Captain Picard’s first command feels like a crossroads book. Friedman wraps up a lot of the plotlines that have been simmering in the first six or so books of the series while teasing with a few more. It’s a decent read but not quite as good as Engima was last month.
