Good. Provides a solid grounding in value investing – mostly the whys, but a little bit too the hows. I’m not convinced I could go out and pick a bunch of stocks solely based on what I read in the book, but a lot of that is due to my own laziness. Browne makes a compelling case, enough so that I’m considering looking at some actively managed value-based mutual funds, and I’ve long since become disenchanted with actively managed funds.
I know it’s supposed to be a short book, but I’d’ve preferred something longer, with more details and a little extra depth. Basically, it’s whetted my appetite.
