This wasn’t a favorite as a kid, but I’ve really grown to like it’s messages as an adult.

This has always been my favorite Narnia book. It has the most interesting story and is the least religious of the entire series.

It is a great book to read aloud, as it is also the best with character development and dialogue. There is a long story narrated within the story, and the young children I’ve read this to have enjoyed it quite a bit.

• Reading it again recently I did find a little problem with racism, where one particular culture is completely “evil” within Narnia. I think talking with young children about this might be important if you’re reading it to them. *
