I cannot remember the last time I couldn’t put a book down, but this book was like that for me. I stayed up way too late and sobbed, but had to finish this book.

This book made me cry and laugh, best of all, I loved that it was from the perspective of a father and how he grows to become a real parent to his son out of love and necessity. You wan tto the book to have a happy ending and in a sense it does, but it’s not the “romance novel” happy ending.

Definitely 5 out of 5 stars in my book.

Like eating ice cream after only consuming brocolli for days on end, this book is really easy to read, sweet and delicious, and I can’t put it down. Parsons is a bit like a lesser Nick Hornby with some Helen Fielding thrown in for good measure.
