A story about this — 1 year ago
A movie’s recently been made about this book with the famous Audrey Tautou and and I’ve always liked Anna Gavalda, so when I saw this book on a “3 books for 2” shelf at my local store, I did not hesitate much before picking it up. It was a great idea, too, because I brought it with me on my trip to France, and it added to the “french” feeling to be reading something by a French author.
It’s a great book, I loved it. The characters are touching, funny, and you really want them to be happy. The setting is great, very Paris, I love the big appartment in which they live. The writing style is pretty original, unsettling at first, but you get used to it and it’s really nice. I had much fun reading this book, it’s a really good summer book (nice and long without taking up too much space in luggages!). I also shed a few tears at the end – exactly what I needed. Read it :)
