WORTH CONSUMING!
Movies didn’t “talk” until The Jazz Singer made its debut; the addition of an audio track changed the genre forever. Just hearing Al Jolson say those famous first words raises goosebumps: “Wait a minute, you ain’t heard nothing yet.” We certainly hadn’t! As prophetic lines go, it ranks right up there with Neil Armstrong’s “one small step.” This movie, indeed, changed my life, and the lives of all of us who enjoy crisp dialog well delivered on film.
