Many people haven’t even heard of tempeh. Some mispronounce it. Those who like it, know how to cook it. I’ve cooked with it more and more over the years, so I’m getting adept at it. I love mixing it with Vegenese and pickles in a sandwich! I have several cookbooks with recipes on how to make this, so I’m not at a loss.

There are few foods that I really hate, but tempeh certainly qualifies as one of those. It’s possible that the tempeh I had was just prepared poorly, so I’m willing to give it a try again…but damn, it was bad.

I love tempeh just about any old way, but tempeh reubens, with smoky tempeh, real (cow) cheese and sauerkraut, on rye, are the bomb!

I ate Tempeh for the first time (Sunday, April 23, 2006). I made a spread that you can spread on bread or crackers. It tasted amazing! I had some for diner and ate some for breakfast today. Mmmmm.
