While the book was entertaining, the set up was recycled and it didn’t add much to the overall story.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Another great book in the Spiderwick series : ) !
I loved the idea of the ironwood-tree and the allusion to snow white. It was a bit shocking to see all the dwarves extinguished at the end (like in LotR), but maybe there are still some dwarves left in another town? What do you think?
Not to speak of scary Mulgarath and the fate of the Grace children’s mother!

I am sooo looking forward to book 5! But – oh no, did I already reach the last Spiderwick book?? : (

Well, at least there will still be the movie, soon : ) !
