WORTH CONSUMING!

DONE! We finally finished discussing this book. I’m so happy. I was getting tired of it, and tired of leading the discussions. It was not an easy book, but I’m glad the book group chose it, and I’m glad to move on to something new.

For my own future reference, and if it will help anyone else reading this, for a good review of this book, click here.

WORTH CONSUMING!

My book group started reading this book a week ago, and I’ve taken on the job of leading the discussions.

The book is about 4 different authors:

(1.) Gerard Manley Hopkins

(2.) Mark Twain

(3.) G. K. Chesterton

(4.) Wm. Shakespeare

I’ve already finished my reading goals on Mark Twain (which is why I brought up the book in the first place with my book group). I’m currently working on reading a good selection of the poems of Hopkins, and over the next two months I’ll be working on these reading goals for Chesterton and Shakespeare. (Everything is available on-line, which is wonderful.)

Unfortunately, it’s not looking good for finishing the Illiad any time soon. I may need to give that up for right now.
