My favorite “anybody-can-relate-to-this” part:

The ways sadness works is one of the strange riddles of the world…You may feel as if you have been set aflame and may spread over your life; find it difficult to see anything but your own sadness, the way smoke can cover a landscape; find that happy things are tainted with sadness, the way smoke leaves its ashen colors on everything; find that if someone pours water all over you, you are damp and distracted, but not cured of your sadness." (Chapter Ten)

If it was not for the fact that you have to read this book in order to understand books 12 and the upcoming 13th and final book; I WOULDHAVESAIDTHISBOOKWASNOTWORTHCONSUMING!!!

The narrative was just awful and everywhere. I could not tell whe rethe kids were at times, and the last names Snicket and Windershins was so interchanged, I wasn’t sure who was related to whom.

I did like how it ended and I am optimistic that book 12 will not suck.

So far my ranking is (read so far…) goes like this:

Book Eight, Book Two, Book Five, Book Seven, Book Ten Book Six, Book Nine, Book Four, Book One, Book Three, Book Eleven.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Ha ha hoi polloi!

I’m happier than a pig eating bacon! I’m tickled pinker than a sun-burned Caucasian!
