A story about this — 5 years ago

This book made me thankful that most girls in this country today can marry whom they choose. But it also saddened me because I know many girls are not as happy and secure with themselves as Birdy is. Hopefully this and other books will help show girls (and boys) that you don’t have to look like the “perfect” girls you see in magazine ads and on TV shows to be happy with how you look and who you are.
