WORTH CONSUMING!

So Japan and Germany won the war, World War II that is, what is life like in the US 20 years later… Unnerving at times, relentless in its implications and naturalistic. The winners write history so it is a mix of aryan insanity covered in bromides of facist justification coupled with Japanese utilitarianism… I suppose the scary part for American readers would be the implication of occupation and recolonization… For us poor Africans, the notion of slavery at best and holocaust as a matter of course are sadly nothing new…
A wonderful work…

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is one of the greatest “alternate history” stories ever written, and may well be one of the earliest to appear. It does not have a driving plot, per se, nor does it attempt to resolve anything. To me, it is a brilliant snapshot of a world as plausable as our own, that touches our own in some frighteningly realistic ways.

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is a book that is very balanced. I loved it. It’s right up there with Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep – simple stories meshing together into a more complex whole.

Nazis and cowards, cowards and Nazis. Oh, and Japanese and Swedish tourists too.

Just like life …
