A story about this — 6 years ago
This is the book that marked a couple of pretty big milestones in my life. First, it introduced me to Arundhati Roy, who has earned my respect both through her fiction and through her political activism. Second, this was the first book I intentionally read because it won the Booker Prize, and I have since set out to read all the other Booker laureates.
