after the blackstone chronicles i was all set w/ john saul. i found his writing to be mediocre at best. laura insisted i read this book. it made her apprehensive which had me intrigued. this book was crazy. dead people were feeding off of the life forces, fluids, you name it, of children. they would fatten them up, neat allusion to hansel and gretel, the town the dead people were originally from was gretzli, then “eat” them. i liked it.
