NOT WORTH CONSUMING

This story is about a pathetic character, and unlike in most books, she never really improves. She just finally finds a couple people who won’t take advantage of her and treat her poorly, but she never learns anything, never really succeeds.

Just very depressing with no real payoff. I read it through, thinking it must redeem itself in the end, but no. I wounld not spend my time on this book.

Considering how much I loved I Know This Much Is True, She’s Come Undone seemed a bit of a disappointment to me. The events in this woman’s life certainly are tragic, but it was hard to sympathize for her because of her constant bad attitude and negativity.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Not the best book I ever read, but not terrible. Dolores isn’t a likeable character, but she has this real, imperfect feeling to her so it makes you want to like her anyway.

I didn’t get really into it till the last few chapters, which were all about starting over — again — and taking the time to recognize the people in your life for what they are.

WORTH CONSUMING!

The tone of the book jumps back and forth pretty wildly. I’ve heard of many loving it and hating it and loving it again. Not fantastic, a bit boggy pace sometimes, but has some extremely good moments.

WORTH CONSUMING!

My copy is a different edition with a leg with wings on the cover. I have reread it a hundred times, although I’m not sure why.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Quite depressing but now I’m past half way I can’t put it down. Makes me glad to be “normal” if such a thing exists!

I’m not sure about this one. I’m enjoying the smoothness of the read and that it never gets dull, although I find it incredibly depressing. I’m also not enjoying Dolores’ attitude – she seems way too angry all the time. Maybe I just want a happy read?

WORTH CONSUMING!

I don’t know how many times I’ve read this book, though I do know I love it a great deal. It’s impossible to put down.

I picked up this book on the back of ‘This Much I Know Is True’, which I loved. ’She’s Come Undone’ hasn’t captured me in the same way.
