This book promises to be the start of a big epic journey. It has enough story in it to keep you interested, but enough unanswered questions to make you want to read the next one. Has a bit of a Western feel too it, but also a bit of the wonder of Middle Earth.

Finished it. Good new age western. Now on to Book 2.

Finished.. and on to the next one, after Mason & Dixon and a couple other books I’ve got sitting there.

I liked the book. A little bit different than what I thought it would be, but I’m looking forward to reading the next one in the series.

I listened to this on audible.com. I thought it was very good, though the pace sometimes felt slow. Still, it’s a story that takes place on the very edges of reality, and it had this intensely desert-like tone that matched both the setting and the subject matter.
