WORTH CONSUMING!
What can I say, I love these books as much as half the English-speaking world (and, come to think of it, a lot of the non-English-speaking world too, they’ve been translated into so many other languages). I’ve even read the appendices a bunch of times. And the appendices are certainly worth reading! The depth and breadth of Tolkien’s vision is simply amazing.

This is one of my favourite books. I’m reading it again in anticipation of the third movie, because that’s just the kind of cool kid I am.

WORTH CONSUMING!
It took me a year to read all of them (mind you, I stopped reading for a few months) but whatever, they’re so good. And I can’t wait for return of the king.
