A story about this — 6 weeks ago

A true review of this book can’t really come until after I’ve given the author’s suggestions for using Outlook more of a test run. And, to do so, you have to be willing to buy in full steam ahead. I’m adopting the system with some modifications. We’ll see. One of the primary lessons (that you can’t possibly “do it all” so you need to identify the most important things and dump the rest) seems to me to be worth the price of admission. The system is set up to support that notion.

Incidentally, I’m stunned that this book does not offer even a passing mention of David Allen’s Getting Things Done. Or, if it preceeds Allen’s book, that he doesn’t refer to this author’s work. They both are presenting almost identical concepts on productivity. This book just happens to walk you through Outlook as a tool to implement the concepts.

Update: I just found mention online that David Allen and Sally McGhee were collaborators. Still surprising that they don’t mention each other in their works.
