At age 8, four little girls in the 1800’s make a pact to never marry, especially Josie who wants to grow up to be an adventurer and pirate like her grandfather. Ten years later, Josie finds a clue to her grandfather’s missing treasure, and unfortunately she’ll have to enlist the aid of her family’s sworn enemy. Her grandfather’s partner James Doubleday met an untimely demise forty years earlier and her grandfather was accused by the Doubleday family of doing the deed. James’s grandson Stephen is the current Lord Westman and Josie makes him a proposition to seek treasure. His family is on thhe brink of financial ruin due to his youthful misbehaviour. Josie and Stephen discover that gold doubloons aren’t the only treasure to be found. It was a fun, racy romp with a taste of thrill as well.
