This is a mixed blessing. The book’s excellent and clear; moreover, there’s now a 3rd edition open to perusal - or even purchase - on the Safari Bookshelf.

The downside is needing such books at all, along with a host of web sites apart from Apple’s own many support pages, because the company has dropped the practice of producing good and lucid maintenance manuals itself.
