I couldn’t watch this movie in the theatres because I was interning at that time and I was reduced to listening about it from friends. There was a mixed reaction overall and I now understand why.

Spiderman 3 does not have the raw edge of its predecessors – there are too many story angles that are dealt with too superficially. The villains are too soft and there is a lot of unnecessary melodrama which takes away the edge off of what could have been a gritty superhero movie.

I can’t believe that people on God’s green earth liked this movie.

And Franco is ugly.

Too many villains, they didn’t work on the plot enough.

It was all effects.

This movie was total CRAP.

I wish I could go back, and keep myself from wasting ten bucks and two hours.

The only reason I watched these darned Spiderman movies is James Franco. And dammit, they had to mess that up! I loved seeing Topher Grace as a smarmy photographer. He’s one of my favorites, too!

Decent movie, but lacking a quality the others had. No way I’ll watch 4 if it’s not going to have James Franco in it.
