The beginning of the book where the protagonist (Girl) leaves her job at a feminist non-profit totally reminds me of how I was treated at a feminist non-profit I worked at post-college. Although considered “chick lit”, this book says a lot about what people will do just to remain employed in today’s current economic climate. Also, it’s an easy read — I finished it in less than 24 hours.
